The Global Mineral Professionals Alliance is a collaboration between peak member associations for minerals professionals around the world, taking a leadership role in the pursuit and continuing development of best practice professionalism in the minerals industries.
This latest publication, edited by Kimberly Finke Morrison, comes complete with the latest research and expertise on tailings. As long as we have mining and mineral processing, tailings and the responsible management thereof will remain at the forefront with a company's environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance, in part, a reflection of how well tailings risks are being managed.
Credited with transforming one of the world’s biggest mining companies, mining veteran Mark Cutifani was awarded the Brigadier Stokes Memorial Award by the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM). The Award is considered to be the highest honour to be bestowed by the South African mining and metallurgical sector in recognition of meritorious service to the industry.
